Thailand International Design and Art by TIDA (TIDA by TIDA) presents “The Sanctuary of Flavours,” an exploration of contemporary Thai identity through the senses, materials, craftsmanship, and local ways of life. Discover THE ORBIT OF AWARENESS, a featured installation selected for the Sensory +1: Reimagine Longevity initiative, designed by Badintra Balankura (Context Studio).

This work explores the intersection of Thai culture, wellness, and sensory experiences to create a space that fosters physical, mental, and spiritual harmony. Drawing inspiration from the intricate art of Ubon Ratchathani’s candle carving—a practice requiring deep focus and precision—the installation transforms into aromatic sculptures crafted from traditional Thai herbs and botanicals.

Visitors are invited to step off their shoes and walk barefoot along a curving brass path while gently carving aromatic materials using both hands with sandalwood tools. Every step and tactile interaction becomes an integral part of an immersive journey back to the present moment.
