Step Up to the International Stage for Thailand’s Future Interior Designers
The Thailand Interior Designers Association (TIDA), led by the President and the Vice President of Foreign Affairs, recently met with 25 faculty members and students from 4 educational institutions prior to their departure for the AIDIA 2026 Student Workshop in Kaifeng, Henan Province, People’s Republic of China.
This meeting was a key opportunity to prepare, exchange perspectives, and align on the goals of the project. It serves not only as an international learning platform for design but also as a space to foster friendships, professional networks, and cultural exchanges among students and faculty members from various Asian countries.
The AIDIA 2026 Student Workshop will take place from July 7–16, 2026, bringing together over 150 students and professors from Thailand, South Korea, the Philippines, and leading institutions in China. Participants will tackle design challenges tied to the cultural heritage and major historical sites of Kaifeng—one of China’s most historically significant ancient capitals.
Over the course of a week, participants will conduct field studies at archaeological sites, museums, and historical districts. They will collaborate in an International Design Workshop to develop design concepts that address cultural, social, and future urban dimensions.
TIDA would like to express our gratitude to all educational institutions and faculty members for supporting and pushing our students onto the global stage. We also send our best wishes and encouragement to all Thai student representatives on this journey.
We are proud to see the new generation of the Thai design community stepping out to learn, exchange, and bring recognition to our country on the international stage.Stay tuned for updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and the achievements of the Thailand delegation throughout the AIDIA 2026 event via the Thailand Interior Designers Association (TIDA) channels.
